Order status pages now show an estimated delivery date
Your customers now see an estimated delivery date on the order status page. It is the first thing they see when they open the link for their order. If a delivery date was chosen at checkout, that date and time slot are shown instead.
The estimate is built from lead times you enter for each shipping location: the days stock is collected from stores, transit time between locations, handling time before dispatch, extra days for personalization such as engraving, and the carrier's delivery time. Non-working days are taken into account. A location with no lead times entered shows no estimate rather than a date with nothing behind it.
We reworked the page around it. It opens with where the order stands and what happens next, followed by the items ordered, the location the parcel ships from, and the carrier and tracking number. The steps are set when the order is received and fill in as it moves along.
