Faulty shipping addresses are now caught as the order comes in

Shipping addresses are now checked against Japanese addressing rules as the order comes in. An address with no house or building number, or a postal code that disagrees with the prefecture and city, is listed under addresses to review in the console — so it can be fixed before dispatch rather than after the carrier rejects it.

What gets checked is up to you. Hold on a missing house number, hold on a postal code that disagrees with the address, silently normalize full-width digits and phone numbers written with +81, and warn on phone numbers of the wrong length can each be switched on or off. Orders with an unresolved address can also be held back from the warehouse until someone has looked at them.

The same rules apply when a customer edits their address from the order status page. Once the address is corrected, or confirmed as fine as it stands, marking it reviewed clears it from the list.
